Passenger ELDT Theory Training Online Course
What is Passenger Theory Training?
As of February 7, 2022, all drivers seeking a Passenger (P) Endorsement must meet entry-level driver training (ELDT) requirements. This includes completing an FMCSA-approved Passenger theory training course and exam before taking the CDL skills training and testing. This important step is now mandatory to obtain a Passenger Endorsement on your CDL.
Passenger Theory Online Course
Our online Passenger Theory course is backed by over 35 years of experience training professional drivers and is approved by the FMCSA. This course covers all requirements to comply with the Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) mandate. C1 Truck Driver Training is registered with the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR) list of approved schools.
The Passenger Theory Online Course consists of 22 units covering the safe operation and unique characteristics of passenger-carrying commercial vehicles. Each unit includes study questions to help students retain key information throughout the course. After completing all units, students will take a proficiency exam with a required passing score of 80% or higher. The exam can be retaken as many times as necessary until a passing grade is achieved, and results are then submitted directly to the Training Provider Registry.
